Hard Times

Interstate 94 is a common path for friends of HardTimes.  Connecting American treasures as diverse as Detroit and the Badlands, I-94 is an intergal member of our roadway, and “home for the holiday” trips.
When entering Michigan on 94, one gets a chance to snake the Lake Michigan shoreline for a few miles before splintering east to Detroit.  Next time you’re road tripping, exit 94 just before the dog leg east, and stop by the Livery in Benton Harbor.
A converted 100 year old horse stable, the Livery now boasts 12 microbrew taps, 3 Real Ale’s, and a fine showcase of music.
HardTimes Counselor to the Art of Daytime Television, Edward Rumsey, prefers the McGilligans IPA.  HardTimes Theological Director of Nascar and Hunting, Jim Gray, is a fan of the Red Canoe Lager.  Mike Koch- the HardTimes Philosopher of Metrosexualtiy- always goes for the tasty Telewhacker.  Here at the head office though, we can’t get enough of that 555 (unfortunately, I think it currently is not on tap).
Serving both the community and great beer, the Livery is a welcome stop for weary I-94 travelers.
*Note: Beth Kenagy, the HardTimes Minister of Worrying Way Too Much, doesn’t recommend drinking and driving.  ”Instead,” she suggests, “get yourself a growler or two, and consume upon arriving at your final destination!  Or take your 555 down to Jean Klock Park for a southwest Michigan sunset!”
